Remember Micheal Jackson

Needless to say, late Micheal Jackson was a great artist and truly an entertainer. His music, dance and performance have entertained a huge number of people around the world. Despite many of his personal gossips and unique behaviors, his music stays forever to people’ heart. I personally express deep condolence with his death.

There are many, many Micheal Jackson CDs and DVDs available on Yahoo Japan auctions. Some of them are the Japan limited version, such as “Thriller 25th limited version”.

I understand it is troublesome to carry an umbrella all around with you. But if you see some fashionable and easy-to-use umbrellas, you may change your minds. Folding auto umbrellas are handy to carry and easy to use. There are many of them of the name value brand, such as Coach, Fendi, Celine, etc.  Some of them are even automatic.

AKB48

Filed under: Japanese Idols — rtecec @ 14:05:58

In Japan, the movie “Terminator Salvation” will be released on June 13 while it is showing in  the US.  For this release, the director of the 4th version of famous movie, McG came over to Japan for many events and interviews.  One of the places where he visited was Akihabara where you can buy character goods as well as consumer electronics.  There, Director McG met some of a Japanese female idol group called “AKB48″.   This group idols have their own theater in Akihabara where they perform (dance and sing) only weekends.  They are teenagers and low twenties.  The original members by auditions were 48, but  by time-to-time auctions the members seems to be 43, and the members will seem to be fluid.   Many AKB48 fans gather AKB48 theater to cheer them by dancing with the idols off stage.   I don’t think McG danced with AKB48, but it seems he may get interested in their stage and the fans’ performance.  It is quite unique.   I personally am interested in “Terminator Salvation” as well as AKB48.

There are AKB48 goods available on Yahoo Japan auctions.  I was surprised to see that there are some available on ebay as well:  But they are not signed…  Why don’t you get the signed goods on Yahoo Japan?

Nobuyuki Tsujii (Pianist)

Another Japanese young-star ’s great performance was reported recently.  A 20 year-old pianist,  Nobuyuki Tsujii  won the Gold Medal and an Award of the Best Performance of a New Work at 13th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. Nobuyuki started piano at the age of 4, along with violin.  He decided to focus on piano about several years later, because he likes the sound of the tone of piano.   He has performed with the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestre des Concerts Lamoureux, Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra, and Tokyo Symphony Orchestra.  Amazingly enough, he is a blind since birth.  The sound of his piano sounds as if all of his emotions put into;  strong but gentle.  The Van Cliburn International Piano Competition is held once in 4 years, and he is the first blind winner of the competition.

His music CDs are available on Yahoo Japan auctions, and many on Amazon.   You should check them out before being out of stock.

Haruki Murakami

A newly published novel is a big news in Japan now.  The novel titled ‘1Q84′ written by Haruki Murakami, was published on May 29 this year, and was sold about 680,000 books on the date of its published, it was said.  This new novel ‘1Q84′ has been on a big sale without advertising its storyline before hand.  It had been 5 years since his previous novel After Dark (2004).   This book is so popular that many book stores are out of stocks.

Haruki Murakami is a Japanese novelist and translator, who is already well known world wide for his works and his behavior.  He sometimes writes about the themes of social problems in his novels, encouraging the readers to think about the themes.  When he received Jerusalem Prize in 2008, we brave enough to attend its award ceremony to make a speech with criticizing bombing Gaza by Israeli government in front of the President of Israel.  He showed his stance of supporting people against violence by authority.

His famous novels include A Wild Sheep Chose, Norwegian Wood, The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle, and Kafka on the Shore.  Including these novels, many of his works have been translated by English and other languages as well.

On Yahoo Japan auctions there are many his books including his newest novels, and some his signed books available.  Why don’t you check it out.
